HARY TANOESOEDIBJO VISITS THE US FOR LIDO & BALI PROJECTS

TrumpResidences - Chairman of MNC Group Hary Tanoesoedibjo visited the United States to meet Trump Hotel Collection’s business owners, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump. During his visit, Hary Tanoesoedibjo discussed their partnership for the Lido and Bali projects, as well as attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Donald Jr. plans to make a return visit to Indonesia in the near future.

Hary Tanoesoedibjo said that his negotiations with Trump reached an agreement in 2015. In his eyes, Trump’s move to enter the White House with a background as an entrepreneur has not affected the deal. As critics question Trump’s decision to keep his role in his companies, the concerns were immediately addressed by Hary Tanoesoedibjo. “Our agreement with Trump was finalized before he (Trump) decided to enter the Presidential Race. Since then, we have not made any new projects or deals. Therefore, I believe there is no conflict of interest, “Hary Tanoesoedibjotold Reuters on Thursday (January 19, 2017) at the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan.

Hary Tanoesoedibjo elaborated, explaining that a conflict of interest would have occurred had he decided to add a new project after Trump won the campaign. Our project does not fall into that category, because it was decided long before the US election. In addition, Trump stated that his company would not make any additional deals after he became president. The company is currently run by his two eldest children, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump.

MNC Land is engaging in cooperation with the Trump Hotel Collection for projects in Lido, Bogor, and Tanah Lot, Bali. The scope of this cooperation includes the construction of hotels & resorts, residences, a golf course, and a country club operated by the Trump brand’s. MNC Land is investing close to $1B for these combined projects.
